How To Make - Banana & Chocolate Chip Cupcakes

Mixture
55g (4oz) Butter
2 Eggs
110g (4oz) Caster sugar
110g (4oz) Plain flour
2 Teaspoons of Baking Powder
1-2 Bananas
A bag Of Chocolate Chips

Butter Icing
1 Teaspoon of Vanilla Extract
55g ( 2oz) Butter
110g (4oz) Icing Sugar

Pre Heat Oven to 180 C / Fan 160. Mix the Butter and Sugar until fluffy, then gradually beat in the eggs until the mixture is smooth. Fold in the Flour, Baking Powder, bananas until the mixture is smooth. Then go ahead and add as many Chocolate chips as you would like ( I only put 1 Banana in but its up to you how many you would like). Divide Mixture between cases, I made them quite full and filled up 8 cases, then cook for 20 minutes.

While your waiting for your cakes to cool down you can make the icing. Whisk the Icing Sugar, Butter and Vanilla Extract together until a smooth creamy mixture. If you have a piping bag thats even  better, Im hoping to get one soon as with a spoon it doesn't look all that great. Then go ahead and decorate. Then your ready to eat.

I can't believe how big they turned out, definitely glad I put loads of mixture in each case hehe, they taste so lovely aswell. Im pretty impressed with my first attempt.

A Few recent purchases

I know this might seem a bit of a pointless post, but I thought id share with you what I bought over the last week. First off I went to boots as I was in need of a new primer, Ive been out of a primer for 2-3weeks which is unlike me cause using a primer is like my life saver it just makes my skin look and last 10 times better, so I went for the Rimmel Fix and Perfect Primer as a few suggested it, I have used it and I'm loving it so far. I then also needed a new Micellar Cleansing water, I've used the Garnier and Loreal one, I'm kind of going around all the brands to see which one I love best ha, So I saw this Botanics Micellar cleansing water and thought its nice and cheap ill give this ago and its no doubt going to be very similar to all the other ones out there.

I then headed of to Wilkinsons as everyone always seems to find such pretty things in there, I'm kind of obsessed with picking new Mugs at the moment to drink my tea in and I saw this cute Mug that said 'Home is where the cake is' and its pink so I had to pick it up, I could of bought the whole row of mugs but I didn't but I will be back for more hehe, and last but not least is a 'shaped heart plate' which I don't need but it looked super cute and thought it would make my instagram photos look cute, is that weird? does anyone else do that?

BakerDays Cake Review // Giveaway - Cake of your Choice

Well this is something a little bit different to what I usual blog about, I was contacted by Bakerdays which is a company that makes cakes, some of which can be posted through your letterbox, yes thats right a cake coming through your door within two days its pretty amazing, so when they contacted me asking to review one I quickly said yes. Whats even more amazing is that they can customise your cake, you can literally have anything you like, from photos to messages, or you can just pick a design thats already on their site as they have loads.

How cute does this cake look? It came nicely packaged and was still fresh and undamaged by the time I received it, as soon as I started to unwrap it I could smell it straight away and it smelt so good. I do find some cakes to be quite sickly and too sweet, but this cake is just right, the chocolate sponge was moist and light and delicious too.

The cakes come in four sizes, the Letterbox Gift cake is 5inches (3-4 portions) £14.99, Small party cake is 7inches (10-12 portions) £26.99, Medium cake is 9inches (18-25 portions) £36.99, large cake plus free hellium ballon is 12inches (40-55 portions) £56.99. My Simple Morning Skincare Routine

When it comes to my morning skincare, I never used to pay much attention to what I use, I only used to use my Simple Face wash and then my Body Shop Aloe Soothing day cream, as I just wasn't bothered about my skin, but now I'm older, I'm constantly changing my routine and seeing what works best and I love trying new things that can help my skin look its best. I enjoy using my evening skincare more than the morning (I'm sure some of you agree with me there ha) as I have much more exciting products to use such as masks and cleansers etc.
First off I like to use the Simple Facial wash, I find it so easy to use, I'm not bothered about using really good amazing cleansers in the morning as I find my skin doesn't need it, so I just stick to something cheap and it works wonders. I then use the Naobay Moisturing Peeling facial treatment, I received this in my glossy box last month and I'm obsessed with it, its just a basic exfoliater but it makes me feel so refreshed and awake and makes my skin feeling super clean, I only use this 2-3 times a week. Next is the Caudalie Anti-Wrinkle Serum, I also received this in my glossy box and I'm also loving this, it can be used day or night so I like to use it for both, you've got to start somewhere to help prevent them wrinkles ;) Last but not least is my holy grail moisturiser, Ive used this for years and its the only one I keep going back to, some moisturisers I find don't hydrate my skin and it feels like I have to put a tone of product on to make my face which I don't like, but with this Body Shop Aloe Cream I find it hydrating and makes my skin look so awake for the day ahead.

Whats your favourite products to use in the morning?

Collection Cream Puff Moisturising Lip Cream Review

I don't think I've seen anyone rave much about these collection Lip Puffs before, so I'm getting in there first. I have two shades which are Cotton Candy and Powder puff 2, theres one or two other shades one which is a coral colour and then the other is a very dark nude but everytime I go into boots theres only 3 available, I really need to get my hands on the coral colour though, I wish they would bring out more shades as 3/4 isn't enough. What I love about these are that they are matte but at the same time moisturising. The scent is amazing, I'm not a fan of scented makeup but I love the smell of these, they smell of a vanilla cake which doesn't bother me in the slightest as the smell goes once applied but obviously the smell isn't for everybody. The only thing is they aren't long lasting which is expected from the price but I can get a good 2-3 hours wear before fading from my lips.

Cotton candy 1 - is a blue toned pink, this is my favourite one out of the two, its super pigmented and I can't get enough of how gorgeous the colour is, this has been my everyday wear and I've worn it ever since I got it which was a couple of months ago, its a lovely dark pink berry ( I'm awful at describing haha) its similar to the Revlon colour burst in the shade elusive which is featured in my march favourites. So yes I Love Love Love it.

Powder Puff 2 - I'm quite disappointed in this one, I just don't think this nude suits me one bit, It may suit other people but for me its too light and washes me out so I like to mix it with another nude, its also not as pigmented ( in the picture I had to really swipe so you could see the colour) it also clings to dry patches on my lips which is odd as the other one doesn't. I think this would be better for people with a natural paler lip colour.

These are available at boots for £2.99
Let me know if you've ever tried these out before and what do you think of them?

March Favourites

Im finally back to blogging after being away, (I went to Vegas by the way) ahhh I did miss blogging, I feel bad for not posting for 2 weeks but I'm finally back woo. I can't believe how fast this year is going and its time to do my March Favourites already? I haven't been loving a lot of products lately but these four have stood out for me and I can't get enough of.

Britney Spears Midnight Fantasy - I have purchased this perfume over and over again, Its my all time favourite day time wear as its not too over powering, Most of her perfumes aren't too overpriced either this was roughly £15 which I think is pretty good? I find some perfumes only lasts a couple of hours but with this one it can last pretty much all day on me.

Urban Decay De Slick Oil control Setting Spray - I got this in the Sefridges Christmas sale as I was needing a new one, Im really impressed with this seeing as the price I payed, it should do a pretty good job, I've actually ran out of a primer for the past 2 weeks so Ive needed this to make my makeup last all day its been a life saver.

Models Own Nail Polish In Coral Reef- This is my favourite colour out of my collection, how gorgeous is it? I recently got it back out of my draws a couple of weeks ago and seeing as we've hit spring I new this colour would be perfect, It just makes my nails pop and hardly chips.

Revlon ColourBurst in Elusive - I love these I should really get more colours as I only have the one, I have worn this colour all month and it just goes with any smokey eye look, they are so pigmented and balmy, I normally stick to nudes but Im loving this pinky shade, I feel like I can pull it off.

What have you been loving this month? Hope you all have a lovely easter.
