Barry M Silk Nail Paint (Blossom)

I'm a huge fan of Barry M, there colour range is fab. When I saw these on the shelves I was straight in there, they looked so pretty.  I didn't really know what to expect from a 'silk' style polish but without a topcoat, the best way to describe it is a shimmery matte end product.

I applied three thin coats, the formula is quite thin, and can drag a bit if you apply this slowly. I found that thin coats worked best, with lots of time to dry in between. they dry down to a soft matte finish with a slight sheen.

I cannot recommend the nail polishes enough I cant wait to go back and pick up some more pastel colours, they are perfect for Spring/Summer.

Have you tried any colours from this line, would love to know your thoughts?

Origins GinZing Moisturiser

Origins seems to be everywhere in the blogging world and I now definitely understand why. As my first purchase from the brand, I have not been disappointed. If you're looking for something to pump energy into your face then I would definitely recommend this product. It's light weight and oil free with a gel texture which feels incredibly cooling when massaged into the skin. My skin feels soft and looks refreshed. Due to the gel consistency it makes a perfect make up base as it doesn't over hydrate the skin. It has an amazing citrus scent! A perfect scent to start the day with.

GinZing Moisturiser also helps to give a bit of energy and life to your skin. In the Winter, skin can easily look tired and dry with long dark nights reducing the amount of sun we get. A skin boosting moisturiser helps to counteract all that and holds onto that Summer glow for a bit longer. It is perfect for dehydrated skin and something I no doubt will be looking to repurchase to use again further into the Winter months. I've been using this for over a month and barely made a dent in it, so this will definitely last a while.

It's at the cheaper end of Origins' moisturiser range too as it's only £23, which is pretty good for a moisturiser that achieves everything it claims to!

China Glaze nail polish (Spontaneous)

I love China Glaze polishes they have a great formula and the polish is so easy to apply, So I thought id show you what nail polish I'm wearing today, its this gorgeous rich purple colour, dries to a high shine, application was a breeze, just two easy coats to cover and a top coat . Its a great go to shade.

Pros: Long lasting, great creamy formula and a gorgeous colour.

Cons: Can't think of one — loved this polish!

Macadamia Flawless Cleanising Conditioner

I love Macadamia products and when they brought out the Macadamia Cleansing Conditioner out a couple of months ago, I couldn't resist and had to buy it. Its a 6 in 1 product that claims to cleanse, reduce drying time, detangle, enhance volume and eliminate frizz in one step. Its a product that acts as both a shampoo and conditioner in one.

The formula is surprisingly nice, its a creamy mousse consistency, I rub it into my hands and it gets thicker, I then massage it all over hair, it smell so nice kind of like fresh clean flowers (im not really good at describing scents). I leave it in my hair for about 2-3 minutes to let it fully penetrate it smells nothing like the healing oil. It is weird thinking that slathering a conditioner onto your hair will actually clean it. But, my hair feels more clean than it does when I use regular shampoo and conditioner.  I then rinse it out and it leaves my hair feeling clean and fresh.

Im not completely sure it reduces the drying time, but with the other claims it defiantly delivers. After I dry my hair it is sooo soft which is a plus and ive noticed how shiney and bouncy its made my hair look, it definitely gets rid of the fizziness too.

I brought mine from beauty bay at £6.43 at 90ml. Im extremely impressed with this product and will continue to use it and buy the bigger size. It's a great one-stop-shop for all you busy girls out there. It will save you time in the morning and make your hair look gorgeous... what more could you ask for?!

NYX Haul

Hi everyone, I thought id share with you a little makeup haul, its not much but I thought its still nice to see what that person bought. Now if you haven't heard of NYX and your a beauty lover.. then your a beauty lover under a rock I say that in the nicest possible way, NYX Cosmetics is an extremely popular brand throughout the beauty community, Why? Because it has developed a reputation for having beautiful pigmented products at some reasonably affordable prices, some consider it to be "drugstore" and some others do not because it's a bit harder to find in certain areas. I ordered mine from BeautyJoint.com which do amazing cheap makeup on their. I'm not sure if its available in any UK stores at the moment, I could be wrong.?

NYX Cream Blush - Natural

NYX Rouge cream blush offers radiant, long-lasting colour in the form of velvety smooth cream. Infused with mineral oils, this blush is creamy in texture and provides a dewy glow for natural, fresh colour. These cream blushes are buttery smooth, very pigmented, non-sticky, easy to blend, and long lasting. The formula is wet upon application but dries to a matte finish. You could even wear this underneath your desired powder blush to increase the staying power.
It's a peachy light pink colour, very natural looking which would suit light to medium skin-tones very well. This blush is pigmented but subtle enough to not draw attention away from the rest of your make up! I use a stippling blush as this gives me the most natural look and doesn't look caked on.

Here's a swatch below

NYX powder blush in Taupe

This NYX blusher in the ‘famous’ Taupe shade is one of those popular products people rave about on the net, Taupe is one of the cheapest make up items I own and yet it is easily the most versatile. The thing I love about the blush so much is that it’s sheer and natural so its perfect for an everyday makeup if you don't want to go heavy on the bronzer. When contouring/bronzing with this, it literally looks as if you’re adding a natural shadow to the face.

Here's a swatch below

 NYX Matte Bronzer - Light

This matte bronzer is truly matte, there is not one spec of shimmer or sparkle to this, The consistency of the matte bronzer is quite nice. They're soft, nicely pigmented, they don't have much fallout, not chalky and they easily blend on the skin. I can get a couple of hours of wear from this before I start to see fading, and I like that, because of their matte finish, It can easily double as a contouring shade. This bronzer has a nice natural finish when applied to the skin, and does not turn orange as the day goes on – a huge plus! I do feel I need to take care when I apply it to my complexion so I don’t over do it, but I don't mind because it is easy to work with, because of this it will make it easier to work with as the weather warms up and I get more of a tan so I don’t have to switch to a new bronzer, so that is a plus!

Here's a swatch below

NYX Butter Gloss - Peaches & Cream

I think NYX Butter Gloss is possibly one of the nicest gloss formula's in the budget world at the moment. Literally the name translates to the formula as these have a buttery, creamy texture that hugs lips with a moisturising finish that’s sure to please even the driest of dry lips. The formula provides medium to sheer coverage depending on the shade you purchase.  They have a tasty fruity sugar cookie-like flavor that isn’t overpowering and quite pleasant, it smells sooo good. I think the gloss wears incredibly comfortable. It’s lightweight, isn’t sticky, but has a bit of tack to allow the glosses to wear quite strong at around four hours without fading.

Swatches are below

On my lips was only 1 coat, you can apply a second coat for a more brighter look :) which will look like above on my hand.

Have you tried any NYX makeup before?

Emma Hardie Face Cleansing Balm

I have seen this product being raved about so much I had to take the plunge and see what all the fuss was about. As I love the Liz Earle cleanse and polish & been using it for ages, I considered myself to be brave and step out of my routine to give this a try, costing £34.00 at feel unique.com. This cleanser isn't cheap.

The cleansing balm itself contains moringa seed extract, wild sea fennel and vitamin E to minimize the appearance of pores. Orange, Neroli and Mandarin extracts to rejuvenate and revitalise and Jasmine, Cedarwood and Rose to help re-hydrate and re-condition dry or dull skin. (that was a mouthful) It also claims to be very calming on sensitive skin too. I really like the smell of the cleanser, it smells really fresh and natural. I wasn't sure that I would get to grips with smoothing an oily balm over my face as opposed to a cream but it's pleasantly nice. The balm breaks down all traces of makeup and is safe to use on eyes too.

When I first looked at the size of the tub, I was a bit apprehensive about how long it would last me, but a little goes a really long way. The size of a £2 coin should cover your whole face and then a little extra swipe afterwards if my makeup is a bit on the heavy side. I also really love the cloth that is provided with this. I thought I'd forever be a muslin cloth girl, but the soft, gentle flannel is so much nicer to use on my skin. You can also use the balm as a face treatment when left on for 10 minutes and wiped away.

Since using the Emma Hardie cleanser, I have noticed a massive difference in the appearance of my skin.  I also feel as though my skin is a lot more hydrated and looks a lot more healthy. I also just really enjoy using this on my skin, it's a real treat when it's the end of the day and I can use this to remove my makeup. As this cleanser is so gentle and natural, I would say that it is suitable for all skin types. If you haven't ever tried a balm then take the plunge and go for it you'll be surprised like me.

My Favourite Two BB Creams (Lioele) & (Elizabeth Arden)

Hi everyone, so today I thought id post about my Two favourite BB Creams in the world. Over the past few months Ive been trying quite a few BB Creams and I thought id round up my 2 best ones.

What are BB Creams?
BB means (Beauty Balm or Blemish Balm)
What do they do?
These creams are a mix of skin care and a tinted moisturiser. It's supposed to save a step in your makeup routine by marrying skin plus foundation products. BB creams have many claims, such as hydrating the skin, blurring imperfections, and evening out skin tone. BB creams are meant to be worn alone, and not as a primer, and some wear powder to set.  Just apply with fingers, a sponge, or foundation brush.  I have really enjoyed them during the summer and on days when I don't want to wear a lot of makeup (but want to wear something).

Now more about the BB Creams I've picked.

Lioele Triple The Solution BB Cream
I found this products from Shaaanxo from youtube (check her out) when I saw her using this I couldn't believe how flawless this made her skin looked so I had to get it. When I received it I loved how cute the packaging was, its great that it comes with a pump too. I tried it out for the first time and fell in love, its a very thick consistency, looks abit greyish when it first comes out but once you blend it into your skin it matches me perfectly, I can only use this on its own if im really pale with no tan, if I do fake tan ill put a thin layer on then put abit of foundation over the top to match my whole bode. My face has never looked so flawless and it stays on my face all day.. It can be quite heavy so it best for  the winter time.

Lioele Triple the Solution BB Cream’s main functions are Whitening, UV Protection, and Wrinkle Care. Arbutin ingredients naturally brighten skin and create a more even looking complexion, while plant extracts help boost cell regeneration to smooth out fine lines. The SPF contained in this product doesn’t only protect skin from harmful UV rays but also improves the results in the other two main functions. UV light causes dark spots that makes skin tone uneven and breaks down connective tissue such as collagen, which leads to wrinkles; SPF prevents both of these. This BB cream also moisturises and nourishes the skin to improve over health with yogurt and hyaluronic acid ingredients

Here's the swatch on the right side.

Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference Multi-Targeted BB Cream

I love this BB Cream and I think this only comes in shade 1 & 2, im in shade 2 as I brought it around the summer time so I had a tan. Like any good BB Creams this comes in a squeeze tube with a formula that helps to brighten skin as it primes, protects, hydrates, and offers coverage.
Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference Multi-Targeted BB Cream is supposed to be suitable for all skin types. This has an incredibly creamy, hydrating formula. So hydrating in fact I recommend you skip moisturiser prior to application. It is quite rare I say that as I have dry skin and I’m always craving more moisture. However, this BB Cream formula is extra moisturising and provides a dewy to the touch finish. It’s formulated with hyaluronic acid which not only provides moisture but aids skin in retaining it. It also contains a Vitamin C Derivative as well as licorice extract that helps fight free radicals and keep skin bright and healthy looking.
Here's a swatch.

I hope you enjoyed this little ramble about the BB Creams .Tell me what BB Creams your loving at the moment

L’Oréal Paris Hair Expertise EverPure Moisture Deep Restorative Masque

My hair is regularly dyed around every 8-10 weeks as i hate my actual hair colour, its a permanent shade, So as you can imagine how dry and damaged my hair is, BUT it really isn't that bad, as I'm using the correct shampoo & conditioner, So i recommend using products that are only for coloured hair if you dye it. Ive tried many hair masks but this loreal one has been my favourite so far I've only used it 5 times but it works wonders. I leave this mask on for 10 mins while i wash my body & exfoliate and all that jazz, then when 10minutes is up i wash it off, then when i get out of the shower i normally have to put a detangler spray into my hair has its so thick, but with this product i dont need to do that as my hair is so soft its got rid of my detangles yaay. My hair stays soft for days and looks very healthy again, its pretty AMAZINGGG!!!

A little bit more about the product.

L’Oréal Paris Hair Expertise EverPure Moisture Deep Restorative Masque is an intensive ( a very long name) rich treatment for dry and damaged hair. The colour-preserving mask is free from harsh sulfates and salts that can strip and dull your hair, and restores and deeply nourishes hair, leaving it soft and shiny. The gentle formula contains natural botanicals including rosemary and juniper.

So i thought id share with you my favourite hair mask, tell me what hair mask your loving?!

Glam Glow Super-mud clearing Mask Review

I love this mask this is my second bottle. It draws out a lot of the thick oils clogging up my pores over my nose. As a person with normal skin (to slightly dry skin in this crap weather) I don't feel like my skin is dry and tight after this mask. It doesn't seem to draw out the essential oils on my face, only the excessive oils out of the already enlarged pores or spots. After the oils are gone, I feel a huge difference in the overall feeling of my skin. Very smooth, less bumpy over my nose, the pores reduced.

Lets go ahead and look at the most unflattering pictures of me, here I've applied a thin layer to my face, it goes black and dries stiff to a light dusty grey

You can see the mask has some chunkier bits in it, that must be one of the ingredients

You can see where its starting to extract all the gunk and oils out of some spots and large pours i have where the mask has dried. They are the small dark spots on the dry areas of the mask.

Annnnd the dry mask, look at all of that oil that the mask has pulled out of my pores, nasty!

Ive always noticed when i have the odd spot, I apply this mask, take it off and immediately the spot has reduced its redness, its amazing and its a good spot treatment too.
You leave the mask on for 10mins and you can feel the mask tightening up on your face too, its hard to talk with it on.  I then use warm water and a face cloth to remove, I then tone and moisturise.  Your face feels soo smooth and soft its lovely. I do this procedure once a week. It is pricey, I brought mine from marks & Spencer's at £45.00 but Ive checked on the Internet and you can get it somewhere else abit cheaper.

I hope i helped someone out there, and tell me what mask your loving this month! I love masks and I'm always wanting to try different ones.
