NEW Makeup Revolution Ultra Contour Palette

Makeup Revolution have launched another exciting product, this is their new Ultra Contour Palette which costs only £8. This palette is perfect for me, I love adding a bit of shape and definition to my face, so having all them shades and colours and highlighters in one palette makes it so much more easier and fun to play with. Ive never owned a palette like this before so its very exciting.

There are eight different powders, three for contouring, three lighter highlighters then two merged baked highlighters on the end which are very pigmented indeed and its safe to say I looked like a disco ball as I didn't know how pigmented they would be. Ones more of a white gold then the other is more of a white goldy brown (you can see I'm great at describing) They swatch beautifully and the contour shades work really well on the skin. I'm in love with the middle shade which is much ashier than the other two, its very similar to Hoola by benefit, so that's a dupe right there. The two other darker shades are very similar although ones more red toned than the other, I did find the darker shades a bit too dark to contour with so I've been mixing them together to create the perfect shade, although I've been using them as a bronzer too and works just as great. All six shades are matte apart from the baked highlighters, the texture to these are very soft and powdery so it makes it really easy to blend. I'm also so happy there is a yellow shade in the top middle, I've been using it to set my concealer under my eyes its amazing and brightens the area, I have a feeling this is also a dupe for the Ben Nye Banana powder.

Overall this palette is amazing and so worth the £8, if your like me and doesn't want to splash out on the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Palette then this Makeup Revolution Palette is definitely for you.

What do you think of this palette?

Top Three Favourite Bronzers

Bronzers are my favourite part of my whole makeup routine, through summer/winter I can never go without, I love adding warmth to my skin as it can look rather dull and zombie like.  ''Sun kissed glow is my favourite look'' I thought id share with you my favourite top three bronzers that I have been using constantly and switching between the three.

First up is my all time favourite Benefit Hoola Bronzer, I have gone through so many, I've lost count on how many times I've repurchased it. Pretty much everyone I know has this in their collection. Its the perfect matte bronzer which defines and sculpts my cheek bones really well, you can apply it lightly all over the face to give your self a natural looking tan. I also love using this to contour but I prefer my Laguna now. Next is Nars laguna, I haven't had this very long, id say I've had it for about a month and I love it, I can definitely see what all the fuss is about, I seem to be the last person on this planet to own laguna (I'm probably not). Its just a well known bronzer that most people have. I've been wearing this most days when I want my bronzer to be more noticeable unlike Hoola which is much more ash tonned. Ive been using this to bronzer and contour and it blends into my skin perfectly, It may be expensive but its worth the money. Last but not least is my most favourite highstreet bronzer ever, Soap & Glory Solar Powder. As you can see its been well loved and I've hit pan :( sad times. Im not a fan of the cardboard packaging as its quite flimsy and seems to be falling apart. The bronzer is a mix of a lighter-darker shade and I swirl my brush in both to create the perfect colour, this bronzer is very subtle. Its just a spot on bronzer thats amazing.

The swatches don't look great in the photo as they all seem to look the same shade but I can promise you they aren't. Im sure most of you know what colour the bronzer look like but for those of you who don't I hope it helps someone who as a rough idea.

Nars Laguna - £27.50, Benefit Hoola - £23.50, Soap & Glory - £12.00. Let me know what you think of these bronzers? What your favourite bronzer?

NEW Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick

Rimmel have launched some NEW Kate Moss lipsticks, they were released roughly a week ago. The day they were being released I was planning to head to boots anyway so I was lucky and managed to grab the last one which is in the shade 45, all the other shades looked a bit too pale for me, so this colour was the only decent pinky nude and I think this colour would suit most people. I don't know how many nude/pinky shades I have in my collection, a girl can never have too many nudes...right?

I only have two other Kate Moss lipsticks which are in the shade 01 and 03 the formula  for these are amazing and feel so silky and soft and they last pretty well on my lips too. With this new collection I don't think its nothing special, I much prefer my Soap & Glory lipstick which is a very similar shade. When I apply the Kate Moss lipstick its lovely and smooth to start off with but after a while my lips felt very dry and the lipstick almost turned quite matte. Maybe I just need to apply some lip balm before hand or though I've never had a problem with the other lipsticks.

The colour is absolutely gorgeous but the staying power and how it felt on my lips was a big no no, thats my honest opinion but that doesn't mean its going to be like that for everyone.

You can pick one up at Boots or Superdrug, Retailing at £5.49.
Have you tried her new Nude lipsticks yet?

Nudestix // NEW Bronzing Sculting Pencils

Ive been testing these Nudestix Sculpting pencils for ages now and I'm so happy to finally write a post about them. These are the NEW Bronzing Sculpting pencils, I was so lucky to be sent these, Ive tried one of their Magnetic eye colours in gilt which is a gorgeous gold eyeshadow so when I received these I had high hypes for them. Im a massive fan of contouring/bronzing and highlighting, for me it completes my whole look, I mean who isn't a fan of using any of these steps? In this set is a clean up pencil, the sculpting pencil and the bronzing pencil, each one came in its own little black tin with a sharpener in side (handy). Also included was a little note from the founders, taylor and Ally explain how they use each pencil and there ideas on how to apply and where, so if your new and you haven't got a clue on any of these steps its very handy.
This clean up pencil is amazing, who ever thought of this is a genius, it does exactly what it says, minimise the look of fine lines, creases and pores for a smoother looking skin, this is exactly what I need as I suffer with large pores. Im not perfect at doing my make up theres always something that goes wrong such as mascara under my eyes or I've messed up my eyeshadow, this pencil removes it with just a few swipes its amazing, I finally don't need to use face wipes or cotton buds, Its a must for quick on the go fixes.
This is the sculpting bronzing pencil, one side is the highlighter and the other side is for contouring. Im not very good at contouring, maybe I don't have the right brush for it who knows?. This pencil is very easy to use simply draw a few lines to get that chiselled cheek bone look, its made my contouring so much more easy. It glides onto my skin so smoothly and I just buff it out using my fingers its that easy. Simply draw and smudge.
The bronzing pencil is different to the sculpting pencil, these two colours are more on the golden side, although the darker colour is more matte and the lighter colour is more shimmery for that perfect bronzed look. These aren't just for the face they can be used for eyeshadows also. Im in love with Golden sugar, I've been using it as a highlighter which gives me that luminous bronzing effect, you can switch it up and use them for different things. These are so handy for on the go touch ups, I've been keeping these in my handbag so if I feel like I need some colour back into my face ill use these. Its so quick and easy.

You can get Nudestix in the uk on Space NK, Cult Beauty or Look fantastic at £24.00 which may sound pricey but so worth it.  Also Sephora sells them too.

Have you tried Nudestix before?

YouBeauty Discovery Box // July

I haven't subscribed to a subsribtion box since forever, I've been subscribed to Birchbox, Glossybox, Lookfantastic and they are all hit and miss, one minute they are amazing then the next minute they turn rubbish and make you want to cancel. I saw someone post about this YouBeauty discovery Box and what they received looked pretty cool so I wanted to look more into it. It costs £6.95 per month and you can pick 2 deluxe beauty products plus a number of extra monthly treats, your selected with quite a choice too. I selected the Nib + Fab body slim moisturiser and the Collagen hand & body moisturising gel which I didn't receive, so instead I got a nail polish instead which I was disappointed in as I didn't pick it, they must of ran out of it but thats not the point it should of said ''out of stock''. Anyways Lets go ahead and see what I received.

First off is this 50ml St Tropez Gradual Tan in shower, this has been everywhere at the moment as its only come out recently. I love St Tropez I have a couple of there tans already so to receive this in the box is amazing, I definitely can't wait to test it out and see if it lives up to the hype as its been a bit of a hit and miss with everyone.
This was one of the items I got to pick, Nip + Fab Body Slim Fix 2 in 1 Moisturiser, Ive never tried this brand before so was definitely going to pick this. It has unislim to help scultp and refine body contours, cocoa butter to soften and smooth the skin and caffeine extract to help improve the skin tone and texture, sounds AMAZING.
I then received this Lola nail polish, It should of been the Collagen Hand and Body Moisturing gel which I was looking forward to receiving. I have no idea why I got this, its the only thing I'm disappointed in.

The last three extra items were a muesli breaks oatcakes, £2 off from St tropez gradual tan in shower from boots, Emma Hardie Protect and prime spf 30 which is a skin protecting cream with added primer for soft focus luminous complexion, Im excited to use this as I love Emma hardie products.

Im looking forward to giving some of these products a go, I think its brilliant for just £6.95 instead of paying £10 plus p&p and you may not even like the products, the box also came very quickly with in 4 days.

What do you think of this box?

NEW Beauty Buys

I feel like I haven't bought makeup since forever, but that's a lie as it was only a month ago but to me that seems like ages ago. As it was payday for me last week, I thought to myself ''I haven't been shopping in ages I deserve a treat'' we probably all say that.

I headed into boots a couple of days ago, I had no idea what to pick up or what was new, I have been wanting the new Real techniques Bold Metal brushes since they have been out which is quite sometime now, they are beautiful but so expensive, this 100 powder brush cost the most out of the others, £25.00 thats the most I've ever spent on a brush but I'm so glad I picked it up, I used it yesterday for powder and bronzer and its so worth the money. Next was a reason of '' I don't need a new bronzer but I'm going to buy it anyway cause its new'' LOL, I just decided to pick up the new Maybelline MasterSculpt bronzer, I don't need it but I don't have a duo of a bronzer/highlight so I thought it was something cool to add to my collection, my first thoughts are, I love the bronzer but the highlight doesn't do it for me, its too sheer and doesnt show up well on my skin. Last but not least is the NEW Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in the shade 45, this is the shade I thought would suit me most and its the one I liked the look of the most, its a gorgeous pinky nude, I tried it for the first time yesterday and my first impressions are that its amazing and last forever on my lips which I couldn't believe, they are so worth buying.

I then made an order from House of Fraser, Ive never tried anything from Nars before, Ive been wanting to order the Sheer Glow Foundation and Laguna for the longest time possible but kept putting it off for being SO expensive, but I then decided to just go and buy it online as I'm no where near a Selfridges, it was definitely hard trying to figure out which shade I could be, I went for Medium 1 Punjab and tried a tiny bit on my face and its the perfect match I couldn't of been happier, I was of been so annoyed if it didn't match me. Im yet to try these both out so will let you know how I get on with them.

Have you bought any of these products?

YSL Touche Eclait Foundation

Im currently writing this post while sitting outside enjoying the sunshine, I love days like this its makes blogging even more enjoyable. Todays post is all about my first high end foundation YSL Touche Eclait, thats write my FIRST ever high end foundation, I've always been sceptical about buying such expensive foundations to just put on my face but I can see why everyones loves it, its amazing.

YSL come in so many shades, B10, BD10, BR20, BD20, B30, BR30, B40, BD40, BR40, BD50, BR50, B60, BD60, BR60, BD70, B80 and B90. BR (Beige Rose) shades are for those with cool/pink undertones, BD (Beige Dore) shades are for those with warm/golden undertones and B (Beige) shades are for balanced/Beige undertones. When I purchased this foundation online I did so much research to try and find which shade I was, I know I have yellow undertones so I new I would be a BD. I am currently in the shade BD20 and I'm wearing it in the picture above (no filter) so you can see how it looks on the skin and what the shade looks like roughly, hopefully it gives you a rough idea on what it looks like. At the moment its a bit too light for me as I have abit of a tan, but when I'm not tanned its the perfect shade and matches me so well, I was quite lucky considering I ordered online.

My skin is combination and fairly clear most days but I do have the odd break out, so in a foundation im not bothered if its light weight or buildable/heavy. This YSL foundation is really creamy and fairly thin so its light weight but you can build it up, it blends in so easy due to it being light weight and creamy, I like to use a flat top brush and one or two pumps covers my entire face, it makes my skin look so healthy looking and luminous.

This lasts forever on me I can do a whole day at work and it still looks pretty fresh, even though I use a primer, powder and setting spray which is properly why it last forever but still its pretty amazing it doesn't go patchy in the slightest. This would be perfect for anyone with dry skin as it has the luminous effect but I think its suitable for all skin types, I can be pretty oily but I just powder and it looks completely fine.

This retails at £31.50, I ordered this from house of fraser as they were having 10% off and free delivery, so I was lucky to get it a little bit cheaper, a bargain is better than nothing. Have you tried this foundation before? What do you think of it?
