Favourite Primark Boots

Im finally doing a post that isn't around makeup yaaaay. I thought id finally put some fashion into my blog aswell as I haven't done it yet.

So these boots are from Primark I've been wanting a pair like this forever and I saw my best friend wear these and that meaned one thing, I HAD to get them and omg I'm in loveeeee. These are SO COMFY to wear, I'm the kind of person that moans about my feet on a night out because they are hurting but I switched from my high heels to these and my feet didn't hurt one bit until the end of the night which was a bonus. I love that they are plain and can go with anything, I pop these on with jeans, leggings, or diso pants, I haven't tried these on with dresses yet but not sure what it would look like with these boots as they are kind of chunky. I love wearing these to meals, clubbing, birthday celebrations.

They were around £20.00 – total bargain. I know Primark isn’t always reliable in terms of quality but these boots seem really sturdy and well put together considering the price tag. I’m hoping they stay in great condition for a while.

Send me links to your favourite boots from primark! :)

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo

Ive seen this product everywhere and it's so popular I finally got my hands on it a couple of months ago,

The texture is a gel-cream, which promises 24 hydration and lasting mattifying effect, non sticky, non oily finish. It's also an excellent makeup base.

I've been using it for about a month and I definetly notice a difference. My skin got cleared after one week, no breakouts anymore. Which probably means unclogged pores as well. I love the texture, which is white. It feels like a regular cream and feels a lot more soothing.

. It soaks into the skin very quickly. I think it makes a great makeup base,  to me it leaves a bit of a sticky surface, which is perfect for makeup, so that it adheres to the skin better. I don't need an extra moisturizer on top of it, because my skin is combination to oily. For a really dry skin, this on itself, may not be enough. It's definitely not oily. The smell is very fresh citrus like.

I don't have acne or huge skin problems, but when I do get the odd breakout , I love this sort of product. It definitely helped me clear my skin in a couple of days, which is great.

All Over Shimmer Powder in Kitten (Highlighter)

I discovered this product from youtube and shaaanxo raved about this so much i just had to get it.  For starters the packaging is super cute and sleek, which is perfect for me because I hate bulky packaging.  I think its the same size as an ordinary mac blush. The compact is a gold, peachy colour which gives off a beautiful shimmer in the light.

The highlighter on the left is a pale pink champagne tone and Kitten a warm gold tone. Kitten is a well known colour in the Stila world.

The shimmer duo adds radiance to the skin creating a luminous, youthful glow. The product still remains very natural and not too heavy on the skin. The best part of this product has outstanding lasting power and is very pigmented for a highlighter. I just use a fan brush and just sweep it on the top of my cheek bones and I don't have any fall out when i apply this.

Overall, I like both shades.  The light pinkish champagne colour is great for the winter when my skin is more pale and the gold is better in the summer for that sun-kissed look.  Although my swatches make it look heavy, its much more subtle in real life.  No complaints about this product.

You can get it from Beauty bay for £15.00

Have any of you tried any stila products before?

Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser

I have read soooo many reviews about this product and it being the dupe of the benefit
pore professional I had to get it. The thing I liked about this was the packaging, how it comes in a little squeeze tube with a nozzle to get the product out.
This isn't like other primers that I own, this is a clear gel type formula its easy to blend .and dries to a matte finish, I don't think it has much of a smell. You don't need a lot - a pea-sized amount spreads a long long way. I apply it all over my face focusing on my forehead and nose the most!

In my opinion I cant notice a lot of different in my pores if I go close up to the mirror I can notice a slight change but that's about it, although it makes my skin feel so soft, light and silky, my makeup glides on perfectly after I've applied this and I've found my makeup has stayed on a lot longer which is a plus.

It retails for £7.99 for 22ml and is available at Boots or Superdrug.

Bourjois Java Rice Powder

Bourjois bring out some amazing products and never fail to amaze me, i was so excited when i saw this product, it did take me quite a few boots trips before i finally picked it up a couple of weeks ago.

First of all i LOVE the packaging how cute and vintage is it? I love the minty green colour too this was definitely a selling point for me. Its a one shade suits all powder that can be used to brighten or highlight the skin or be used as a setting powder to set your makeup.
It’s marketed as a transparent, one shade suits all powder that can be used to brighten and highlight the skin or be used as an all over setting powder, and when I originally bought this their were practically no reviews anywhere online so it was a bit of a gamble! - See more at: http://www.hannahhepton.com/bourjois-java-rice-powder/#sthash.KAS8UoPL.dpuf

The photos doesn't do it justice but the powder is pink but doesn't show much of a shimmer in the photos, in real life it definitely has a visible shimmer to it, but once applied to your face its not noticeable so doesn't make you look like a disco ball lol. I use this also to not just set my conealer but to brighten the area up, it also makes me look much more awake in the mornings. The powder is so smooth and leaves the skin feeling silky. Another thing i want to mention is the smell I could be wrong but to me it kind of smells like thoughs sweets that are shaped like love hearts and have little quotes on them.

At just under £10 I think this is a great little product for anyone after a powder that doesn't look cakey but simply sets the makeup, controls shine and adds radiance in one. Have you tried the Java Rice Powder yet?
